For many years, Americans had the comfort of job security, generous retirement benefits in the workplace, and trusted that social security would always be there… and that those checks would actually have purchasing power.
Early on I knew someone could be the most knowledgeable person in their field or the best person in the world for their profession, but if they didn’t know how to manage money, then it would be all for naught.
Selfishly, I wanted to learn all there was to know about finance for my own family’s well-being and I quickly realized this was my true calling in life. I also realized there were many retirement pitfalls and it pained me to know that so many people would have to live out their retirements in a sub-optimal fashion because they were too busy in the rat race of life to plan for their own retirements.
Now without the workplace comforts described in the first paragraph, the burden of retirement planning is now left up to the individual and families alike, which is why it is now more important than ever to work with a competent and trustworthy wealth advisor to help manage your: wealth, retirement, and legacy.
I fully appreciate the hard work it has taken to accumulate your wealth and that hard work is something I will never lose sight of. I am truly blessed to work in a field I love and with clients I consider family.
My wife and I had our first child, Summer Marie in 2015. In my free time, I train for various Ultra Endurance events and I love all the outdoor activities Arizona living provides.

RETIREMENT INCOME: You worked hard to accumulate your assets, but now you need a plan on how to maintain your current lifestyle by making sure you won’t run out of money. According to a survey by financial services company Allianz of married people in their late 40s and with dependents, 82% of respondents say, “…running out of cash is a more chilling prospect than death.” The FED’s response to the financial crisis has only exacerbated this fear. Interest rates are near zero and “junk” bonds are some of the only bonds where an investor can get any appreciable interest and who wants to put their life savings in “junk”?
By utilizing the FocalPoint Wealth planning process, we will stress test your retirement over 1000 times and come up with outside the box ideas so you can live your retirement the way you envisioned and not the way you feared.
INVESTMENT PLANNING: After identifying my clients’ goals and priorities, we invest in highly tax-efficient investment vehicles to pursue your goals in the most cost- and tax-efficient manner possible. I make clients aware of the various fees they are charged as well as the tradeoffs involved with every decision. I prefer using tactical models to adjust my clients stock and bond allocations depending on many factors including but not limited to monetary policy, financial ratios (PE), demographic issues, and geopolitics. Additionally, I consider myself a contrarian investor and subscribe to the Austrian school of economics.
LEGACY PLANNING: We strive to make sure your estate will pass on to your beneficiaries in the most efficient manner possible congruent to your wishes. With two advisors who hold the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation on staff, we will make you aware of issues you didn’t realize you had. You worked hard to build your estate and we will work hard to help protect it!
